Stripe Payments
Two money paths, kept separate. Pay for Total Tradesmen through Stripe Billing, and connect Stripe so customers can pay you online.
Two Money Paths
Stripe shows up in Total Tradesmen in two ways. One is how your trade company pays for the software. The other is how your customers pay your invoices. Keep them separate in your head and the setup stays simple.

Getting Paid By Customers
Connect Stripe so customers can pay you online. Link your own Stripe Express account under Integrations. Customers pay the invoice by card and the money goes to your Stripe account.
- Total Tradesmen takes 1% on these card payments
- Stripe charges its own card processing fee separately
- Those fees are not shown as a line on the customer invoice
Total Tradesmen does not sit on customer job money. Stripe Connect pays through to your Stripe account. Bank payouts are handled in the Stripe Dashboard.
Ways customers can pay
- Stripe Checkout in person
- Shareable invoice pay links
- QR codes on invoice PDFs and emails
Customers pay on a public invoice payment page. They do not need a Total Tradesmen login. Partial payments are allowed when you want a deposit or staged payment.
Plain Language
Total Tradesmen uses custom invoice pay links and Checkout for customer payments. That is not the same as Stripe’s separate Payment Links product.
Why Trades Use Both
Software billing stays tidy in the Stripe Billing Portal. Customer collections sit on your invoices with pay links and QR codes, so you can send a bill and get paid without chasing card details over the phone.
